Im taking my car to Honda in a about a week and 1/2 to have them fix my tranny because it still under warrenty....Im taking my short shifter out, but should I take my front strut tower bar out....If I do, wont they think I am trying to hide more when they see the screw holes?

You shouldn't have to bother with the strut bar because the Si come with one stock. If it makes you feel better you can remove it. Most people will not bother to notice the holes.

i would say no, cause the strut bar wouldn't void a waranty and wouldn't do anything to mess up the tranny neways, but i don't know fo sho.

Depends on the tech and depends upon what is wrong with your trans. If they find a problem due to say, hard/fast shifting due to short shifter, its your problem. Honda will find any excuse to not pay for warrenty problems, especially if they can find something else to blame it on. Of course, this depends upon the day the tech is having as to if he will overlook that. I would remove it if I were you.

aslong as it doesnt have anything to do with the problem they wont care. so unless the strut bar is f**king up ur tranny then i wouldnt worry
I realize that I should remove the short shifter before I take it in, but if I bring it in with the stock shifter back in, will they be able to tell there was an aftermarket shifter in?
just make sure it looks just like it did when u took it off
i work for a dealer, they shouldnt be anal about a short shifter but if you ran the piss out of it and tore it up they will know. they will most likly know that you worked on it or someone did. they may still honor the warranty. if you didnt run the piss out of it, in otherwords it was not your fault they should honor the warranty. if it looks like it was done right it should not be a big deal.

Well I took my car into the shop and I was 4,000 miles over warrenty....Appearently I only had 36,000 mile warrenty...So, my car is at Honda right now and they are looking it over because they might honor the warrenty because even though I only had a 36,000 warrenty, a transmission shouldnt die after before 40k....so I hope they cover it or Im out a nice chunk of change

Alright, so another warrenty update...So they havent finished looking at it, but they are asking me if I have been down shifting alot...Apparently downshifting is considered racing your car..thats bull s**t
Aright, even more developments in my car problems....Honda has decided to diagnose my car and tell me whats wrong with it for free...nice right?....wrong...Now they are trying to tell my that I replaced the front right axle ( which actually might have happened because about 1 year ago I got run off the freeway at 70 mph by a drunk driver and hit the side wall on 580...And I think that Diablo, the place that repaired my car, gave me a new axle..)...Okay, so that might have been legit...but now they are trying to tell me that I installed a racing clutch...Wtf??.....I think I would have remember installing a racing clutch...so we will see what happens from here..I will keep you guys updated
