P.S anyone know of what Acura parts are synonomous with honda civics? Is there a site /book inventory for this?

But yeah, if Honda can detect that you've tampered with something they can void your complete warrenty.

As far as parts that cross over, I don' think many will to the newer chassis unless your considering the Acura CSX from Canada. It's basically a civic with JDM style front/rear end and a few other things.
