I recently bought a wastegate spring for 38mm/35mm. from ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/38mm-turbo-wastegate-springs-9psi-wg-spring-civic-35mm_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQihZ006QQitemZ160245980191QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

So i put that sucker on today to boost more (more like 7/8psi) however its only pushing 4PSI!!!! so i put back my stock one it runs like 6psi. anyone know if its because this spring is weak or my wastegate is freakn retarded? im not using boost controller. i contact the ebay seller he stated that the spring is correct and it should push 8.7psi.

"THE 5.7PSI IS RED
GREEN IS 6.8PSI AND BLUE IS 8.7PSI
LET ME KNOW WHAT COLOR YOU HAVE
I AM RUNING 6PSI RED THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS"

So 38mm wastegate spring at 6PSI = 8/9 psi for 35mm???

if you're running a wastegate that regulates the level of boos is a boost controller really necessary?

he said hes not running a boost controller lol... ^^^^^

it looks like it doesnt matter if its 35mm or 38mm ....it says it works for both....

so my guess is the spring is bad....

just buy a boost controller.....its a lot easier lol

usually the tighter the spring the more the boost. if you are sure that you are running only 4lbs i would send that sucker back.
