I have an XS Power wastegate that doesnt seem to bee bleading off the boost. I has a big red pring in it which is supposed to mean that it is for 5 psi. I have the boost controller screw all the way screwed out. So wouldnt this mean that it should stop at 5psi? I can basicly go to whatever boost i wanted to and it doesnt stop. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

big red spring isnt 5psi. it would need to be a little red spring to be 5psi

if it is the little red spring and its still boosting 10+, id bed that you pinched the diaphragm and its leaking...

xs power wastegates are garbage. i got on from a friend that was brand new and when i put it on it was stuck open...just man up and buy a tial. well worth it when you think about the safety of your motor

got the vac line hooked to the correct nipple?

and btw, knockoff wastegates are good for atleast 400whp, i believe its been done without failure

If you're boosting 10+ on a 5psi spring, your valve isn't opening. Double check your vacuum connections and make sure the valve even opens.

And I agree, WG's should not be a garbage or knock off brand since it's such a critical part. Tial and HKS's are the best on the market. IMO, Tial WG's FTFW!!!! =)

i went to tial's website and it says to have the lines hooked before the throttle body plate and mine are after. Think thats why?
doesnt matter where you source the vacuum/boost when it comes to a WG because it runs off pressure and will open when in boost.

if you are overboosting, i seriously would look at the diaphragm

funny, im on my 3rd and never had a problem, absolutely flawless operation. local guy to me is making 405hp on his knockoff and it works just fine too
