Im sure all you you know about this problem. The Honda civic has probably one of the weakest horns ever created. Seriously i got cut off real bad yesterday and i honked at the old b***h and she did not even notice me! Talk about chapping my ass.

So does anyone here know of how one goes by replacing the horn with something louder? I dont want to go ridiculously loud with those train horns but i would just like to be noticed. Is it really costly to buy a new loud horn? is it expensive to have someone install it? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Just find a louder horn (like off a truck or something at a junkyard), and just bolt it up where the old one is. Its on the radiator support behind the front bumper. Either hardwire it in, or cut off the plug on the OE horn, and wire the new one to the plug so you can plug it in.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread...

But I got hands on one from a ford escort, it's pretty loud so I'm happy with it now.
