i have a 94 dx coupe and am curious as to how much weight would i cut buy gutting the interior rear seats door panels rear panels pretty much everything but front seats and dash????

Not as much as it seems it would be. The door panels and rear panels are really lightweight plastic with nothing behind them, the seat bottom and rear seat back dont have the heavy metal brackets on them like newer cars, so they are pretty lightweight as well. You may lose around 50lbs removing all of that stuff not including the spare tire if you have one. On our coupes, the best weight loss area is under the hood

To really make a differnce its going to take a combination of things being removed and the sacrifices along with them. Dx's are one of the lightest submodels next to the dx and cx hatchbacks.
basically anything you dont use or wouldn't mind not having, you can take it out. But again, the weight savings aren't going to be huge since the dx is so bare from the factory as it is.

airbags and seat belts weight quite a bit
when you consider needing to lose 100lbs to gain .1 in a quarter mile run, they things dont seem so heavy. weight removal should either not be done, half of everything removed, or all of it removed. tid bits here and there dont make a difference
i wish i could live w/out my A/c i wouldn't mind loosing Cruise control though..lol my EX is heavy :/ ive been looken at weight loss as well, unfortunately i cant bring myself to gut my interior, its in such good shape lol..

No power steering in my dx, no cruise control, no torque mounts or brackets, no rear seats, side panels, trunk garnish, or spare tire. Its noticeably lighter weight but one day i'll get on a scale and see how much i actually got rid of
hmmm..tempting..i want to gut as much from my bay as possible..but idk about my A/C lol
