Anyone know if weight reduction is worth the trouble. Im not going to the track, or hardcore, or anything. Just always wanna be a little faster. I have a 30lb subwoofer (just downgraded from my old 60lb) in the hatch, and am trying to comprimise. Anything I can ditch, besides the sub, its not going. Mabye the spare tire or something. They're a b***h anyways. Or is it even worth it?

you'd ditch the spare tire, and keep a 30lb sub .... yet you're worried about WEIGHT REDUCTION?

You've got f**ked up priorities my friend.

i KNEW id get crap from it. My friends give me crap all the time. I love my music, and dont get flatties that often... Its compromise. Ill put it back in for trips, and just call someone if I get a flat in town. The tire was just a suggestion. Is there anything worth removing, that im not gonna miss?

taking easy little stuff out will just loosen up maybe 100lbs which is worthless. unless your completely stripping your car then its a waste of time if your not going to take out every thing that is not needed. if u want to go faster try spending some $$ and getting performance parts.

no subs, no spare, you can pull off the carpet and get some thin stuff at a store or carpet place, floor mats, leave gas 1/2 full or less, keep washer fluid low, racing battery, etc

My hatch has a dash and 2 front seats. I do not have the metal bumper on the front only the plastic cover. I ditched 17in wheels for 15s. Its worth it if thats what you like. Theoretically 100lbs equals a tenth of a second at the track.

If you don't care about your rear seats, take those out. Or if you really want to get into it, you can take you whole interior out and heat up the black sound deadening and take that off.
