Hey, wondering if anyone gets this weird problem I have.

Sometimes when I start my car at night, and turn on my lights the AC-cluster near the AC-controls doesnt light up on a side. Like either the right or the left doesnt light up so I can only see maybe half of my AC-controls.

My current fix is... smack the underside of the dash at the spot and the lighting goes on... f**king weird. Anyone ever have that problem? Im debating whether to take my dash apart and see if somethings shook loose. Not really sure what could be "loose" though... just a thought.

ALSO.

When at night and I have my lights on, If I put my windows all the way up... and I continue to push the power window buttons in the "up" position at the same time... I get a "dimming" of all the lights in my car. Even the headlights dim long as I hold it... then they go back to normal the instant I release. That a short? Or just part of the cars dealy.

i get that thing with the AC part. Ill turn the lights on and half my AC panel doesnt light up. Usually i smack it or I hit the changer thing against the side and that usually helps.

i have the same problem with the a/c, and the same solution

but with your windows, the lights are dimming because the window regulator motors are straining to go up because your holding the buttons up. they cant go any higher so they just sit there and draw a current. its actually bad for youe power window motors to do that. your frying them. stop doing it.

i had the exact same problem too. Smack it and it would come back. Or even just sometimes throwing it from hot to cold in one motion. But now it's at the point, it doesn't even light up anymore at all

I think it's in the wiring because Jason had that problem and we tried changing the bulb and no luck. When you move it around that it sometimes works, sometimes not.

I'd say the cure is a new climate control.

no, it is putting strain on his alternator and it doesn't have enough juice to power everything so the lights start to dim.

Just don't crank AC and your windows and everything at the same damn time.

and the lighting situation is a loose connection in your wiring, I had the same deal with the lights in my cluster.

Wow, I can't believe so many people have the same issue. I've been dealing with mine as well. I thought it may just be a bulb, but when I smack it hard enough it works.

Yep, I replaced my climate control, and it doesn't do it anymore. Crappy wiring + heat = teh loose.

no, he's holding the switch up when the windows are already all they way up. he is straining the window motors

had the same lighting problem as well with the same barbarian hit to fix solution. I replaced all the lights with leds and checked all the wiring and now I dont have any problems, plus I got to do the led mod while i had it apart. :thumbs up
