whenever my car is idle and driving at low rpms it makes this tapping/clicking kind of noise
what kind of problem could this be? timing belt?

same procedure.
or like 2slo said, if a very light ticking noise, the injectors make a slight tap when firing.
pinpoint the sound and then take the appropriate action.

its much louder than a light ticking so im not sure if its the injectors
and i have a d16y7 in the car so i dont know if that changes anything
