i was wondering if anybody in here has a welding problem with their civic like me...its like the welds dont realy wanna hold or something and they just look like plain shizza when i do it...im not a noob to welding either..who else has this problem or knows what i need to set my welder on so i dont get this problem as much

Which welds are you referring to? My welds seem to be holding up just fine...

what are you welding? my initial guess would be you are trying to shave the body. but whats wrong, do they really not hold, or just dont look good? and also what kind of welder are you using? are you prepping the metal, warping it...

yea the metal is just plain s**t if you ask me..i prepare the metal and and im using a feed welder..the metal looks like its buring up..it does it all over the car..i welded up the lights one the tailgate of my hatch and a quick fix me ups cause it was in a wreck before i bought it and the guy who had it before was a retard...so yea..i dunno if its the welder or the metal...just seems really odd to me like their is something in the metal..i can get it to look nice...just a pain to do so

im not gonna act like i have experience welding, i just have some knowledge behind it from working in a shop around people who did weld, as well as from my own research. but what i meant is what kind of welder meaning: MIG, TIG, ARC... certain techniques need to be used for certain applications and metals

turn the voltage on the welder down, try different thing is the best bet

yea im no pro either..as we can tell..uummm dont know what MIG and the others are..its a Miller that feeds the weld...haha..its no big deal..just wondering if anyone else has the same problem
