What are signs that a door lock module is going bad

I can lock every door and unlock with the remote except the driver door I have to use the key on that one.i put a new actuator in,I checked wires,I pulled the control module and checked fuses and their all fine.my driver door handle inside the car has that switch and it doesnt work either so do I need a new control module or is this another problem because I did everything.hopefully someone knows the fix to this problem.
