What are these on my car?

I had a question... So I was looking into getting a better radiator for my car bu was wondering what this was that's in front of my radiator? theres a long metal bar that extends from one side to the other and then the coil thing that sits right in front of my radiator. can anyone tell me what either of those two things are part of???

Thank you! I have been searching and searching and hadnt seen that exact diagram. I was thinking that's what it was. Will be buying a new radiator where I can connect the A/T in/out to. Something more efficient lol.

After looking at it closer I noticed but I wanted to replace it with something that took up a little less room. I initially wanted a radiator that had support for A/T where I just plug the in/return lines into at the bottom to eliminate that "blocky" A/T cooler, however, I'm now leaning towards just replacing each of the two. A new Mishimoto radiator and a new mishimoto A/T cooler. The cooler is only 3/4" thick as opposed to the stock one >.<

(edit) ... And would probably work a little bit better as well. Seems as though I'm going to be replacing a lot on this car over the next few months.
