your automatic dome light wont work when you install a cd player cause its connected to your factory deck, same with keyless entry if you have it....

Not on 99-00's...The keyless is its own unit.

I know what you are talking about though, because thats how it is on my 98

Hey guys, the car he's talking about actually now we just found out the heat/ac isnt working either, so it's not just the light. Would there be a connection to the dash lights? Which fuse would have to do with both of them? The three buttons under the deck work, they light up when pushed, but the actual lights behind the pictures arent working either. Thanks!!!!!!

this is very odd, i have look behide a 99 civic climate control and this migth be a long shot but once you take out the climate control you can see this black wire ground. you can check that out to make sure. nto sure if that is the ground for the cd player and climate control but worth a try. so try looking for this ground i am talking about and make sure you have groudn for the climate control. long shot maybe if you have already check the fuse and everything else

Not to be a d**k but I think its time for you to do what you should have done in the first place and take your car to a shop, before you cause even more damage.

Chances are its a fuse, my bet would be under the hood. But obviously you shouldnt be installing audio gear in your car.

Pay the $50-75 and get it over with

so i brought it to a place and all it ended up being was that the dimmer switch was burnt out/ broken. so the radio installation went find it was just a conicidence that the lights went out a tthe same time.
