hello you guys i am interested in buying this eg hatch but its not running at the moment. The guy said that it just needs a new distributor and battery I was wondering what you guys thoughts are, should i buy it and fix or is it not just not worth the trouble. i am going to check the car out tonight will bring a battery to check for spark what else should i check for since i am there?? heres a link to the car pics will be up soon

guy wants 1500 for the car and it is in fair condition the only problem with the car is the motor as i am told but i am not sure

price does seem high, i paid for mine for 2200 with 169xxx miles bone stock but its rather hard to find one with out rust in my area, the body seems to be good i see the pic of the motor our of the car? but if it is in check the fluids and for any sign of leaks anywhere a lot of leaks have some grime or something after it dries up a little so you can look for that

motor is installed in the car but car wont start,and he left it sit there and battery died. I am taking my own battery to check for spark and see if it really is just the distributor

still check the fluids in the reservoirs see if he keep up with the maintenance before it didnt work if your plans are to do an engine swap later....an unrepairable engine just gives you a reason to do it sooner....if your really serious i bring my local mechanic / friend to check mine out just a quick over view

a swap will come later but need it to be running until i save up for it. will check the fluids like you said. My only concern is buying this think and the motor being completely f'ed up need a way to get to and from work and money is a little tight. and like every one said 2000 is to high for a nun running car, even 1500 is to high for me

1500 is still high for a car that doesn't even run. I'm sure you can find a better deal in the Houston area than that.

Yea I agree with "E_civic_K". I bought my second car which was an integra, I f**ken had to spend the s**t out of it just to make it run. Look for others first before you buy it.
