some gauges will help you in monitoring things; Oil pressure, Air/Fuel mixture, Boost...you will also need some sort of management system like Hondata, or AEM's comp., or GReddy. If you go with hondata it has a boost controller in it already, not sure about aem though.

go with a egt gauge instead of the af ratio. you can get a hondata (highly recommended) or you can do the gay "hack" via a apex'i safc.

you dont NEED a turbo timer, if you dont mind sitting in your car a few extra minutes when you park...

The most important piece of electronics you will need is some kind of fuel management like stated above, a standalone, piggyback or AFC hack will do...

You can run an fmu and a differant fuel pump with some bigger injectors, that will work just fine. But it is better to get a hondata or uberdata etc.

the right way....5,000 (injectors, head gasket, head studs, turbo, fuel managment, gauges, intercooler, bov, you know, the works)

and dont bother getting an apex'i vafc, or safc....there just expensive indiglo clocks

You dont NEED a head gasket or head studs though. Get a hondata S200 with boost some 550 injectors high pressure fuel pump then get it dyno tuned there you go.

^^ correction not high pressure, high flow. since with the hondata you wouldnt be using the fmu/link setup, therefore you wouldnt need a high pressure.

also, ive been told by two tuners that they prefer if customers get the s200..its more friendly and easier to tune/use. they see tuning costs cut by 40% when using the s200. the right way....depends on what power you are looking for (remember dont set psi goals, set power goals).

total price of electronics would be somewhere around...
Turbo Timer: 90
Guages: 175
Hondata: 800
Total: 1065

believe me, spend the money.

the s100 will do fine for a street setup, no need to spend the extra 300-400 for the s200. I bought my s100 for $450, and I cant imagine 40% of tuning costs being more than 300-400 dollars for the extra unit. Seems a little ridiculous.

does hondata replace the factory ecu?
no, it doesnt replace the factory ecu. The s100 is a little chip that goes into the ecu. But the s200 does have that little blue box. But it doesnt replace anything.

the s200 base system only runs you 265, where as the s100 runs 250. wow that is SO much more money. the boost option on both is 180. the s200 is fine as well for a street setup, its all in how you are going to tune it.

Hey guys if i get a hondata or whatever does that replace the need for a bigger fuel pump? or do i still need that and need the bigger injectors too right?

Will i get similar a)performance b)fuel consumption c)safety out of bigger fuel pump bigger injectors and a FMU?

Oh and what does the FMU hook up to? :D

hehe thx;)

no, you still need the higher flow fuel pump, and you need bigger injectors. you wont get similar performance, youll get more fuel consumpiton. with a fmu setup youll need a higher pressure fuel pump....not a bigger pump.

stock pump - - - filter - - - inline booster - - - rail - -- inj's - - - combustion
