what exhaust is good for my 1997 civic dx

hi,

i need to get a loud deep exhaust.but only a exhaust becouse i have a high flow cat coming in and im gunna have my pipes built .but i need a nice deep exhaust.

and i need every ones input on what 1 u have herd and what 1 u have and the tone.

i have an apex N-1 cat back.. and it sounds really good.. its a little loud.. but deep... not bumble bees in a can at all

do you want a muffler or exhaust? I"m confused since you said you had a cat coming in and said you're having your pipes built. not sure if you're doing mandrel bent custom piping and welding in the cat and muffler or you jsut want a complete cat back. if you want a deep toned loud sounding muffler i'd say go with the aeroturbine muffler that i have which i just had welded on to some 2.25 custom tubing. if you want a cat back i've heard the n1 like civic's and it's also a great exhaust.

i don't know how much good it would do on a dx but i've got a greddy evo pretty nice and deep

i got an OBX axle back. its like a greddy rip off. its nice n loud. no bumble bees either.

Greddy SP2 for the d16y7. If you have an intake and header go for a EVO2. Sounds amazing. I just got an intake manifold from a differnet engine for my d16 for 40 dollars froma bud, he put it on and now my intake is A sri so it'll work, but it made more power than my Exahust and Intake without the header. Deep sound too. It's off a 95 civic I think.

well i believe that the y8 head swap isn't worth it unless you get it done for 500 bucks. and yeah it'll give you a few ponies one of my friends said he's got 138hp after his head swap. oh and i suggest doing it yourself since it really isn't that hard as long as you read up on it. use the search feature here and you'll bring up a multiude of threads on the subject. if you have someone else do it i say they'll charge around 500. hope this helps

Keep in mind that the header, the cat converter, the catback piping and the muffler, and the tip are all parts of the exhuast. I am assuming that when you say either an axle back or just the exhuast you mean a Muffler.

i have full exhaust tenzo R exhaust, soon to be skunk 2. i also have a 97' dx civic. get something that has a silencer, cause cops now, not just in cali where im from, are cracking down on that shyt. they got some kind of new gadget that lets them read the dp of ur exhaust...to loud and you got a ticket.
