whats a better size gauge pod to get 2" 1/16 or 2" 5/8 ???? also what is the difference between mechanical and electric gauges? what are electric guages so much more money? are greddy gauges the only gauges with white needles?
The difference between mechanical and electrical gauges is where they get their data. Say you were going to get an oil temp gauge, if you bought a mechanical gauge then you would have to route oil lines through the firewall to the gauge then back. For some things thats ok but I don't want wicked hot oil above my legs. Electrical gauges have sending units near whatever they are measuring. Those units take the data and send the info into the gauge. Thats also why electrical guages are more expensive.
