I'm in Canada and I'll be the first to say that clubcivicquebec wouldn't really be an accurate representation of a civic club in canada. clubel.ca is pretty close but then again its for acura el's (only in canada from what i'm aware of) Or are there el's in the US? I'll have to get some posted for y'all (would this be an american version of eh?) to reference. All in good fun though no offense intended....

The 1.6 EL is pretty similar to the 6th gen Civic sedan we have (and you have) from 1996 - 2000. They share like 70% of the parts or something. 7th gen Civic sedans (2001- Present) are similar to the 1.7 EL. The US does not have the ELs though.

Exactly I think the differences really lie in some of the interior and body parts,lights etc...pretty much cosmetics. But chassis wise it is a civic. The 1.6's also share the same motor as the 96-00 ex civics. d16y8's. I wasn't sure if the US had the newer EL's or not...thanks for clarifying.

I actually had to work with pacer for a couple months. part of my probation for racing when i lost my liscence. their pretty good, good program stopping racing on the streets, and they have this car to show what legal mods you can do. and their pretty informative.

I absolutely love Vancouver as well. I'm never gonna leave! We got a few more PACER cars, but those 2 show up to most of the organized meets. Should see if there's one when you come up with your gf and come by!
