what internals should i upgrade before boosting D16y8

So I have a 00 civic with a D16Y8 that i want to boost with 9psi maybe less and i want to know what i should upgrade before hand?

9 psi with what turbo. With something like what I believe you are thinking no need to build internals

I'd at least get a set of ARP studs to prevent the head from lifting off the block.

I've got the same setup like fail safe says change the studs


And most importantly get a good tune

depends what your looking to get out of it, i boosted my d16y5 completely stock ( no rods, pistons, arp studs, or fuel pump) and made 166hp 149 tq reliably for 1.5 years until my car was rear ended.
