What is holding this lock bezel on?

I've pried out the keeper and removed the spring as well as both the lock rod and the handle rod.
What else could be holding this thing?
Anyone who's changed it on a coupe please chime in.

I have a very bad feeling it's the little metal clip you see in that hole that I can't get to come out for the life of me.

The shop manual shows this...

It's NOT that easy, my clip won't come out for nothing. And when I removed the handle rod,
the plastic on the old one broke so I can't give up and use the old one now...
This is so frustrating... Bloody knuckles and 2 hours later for a 15 minute job.

you won't get it out unless you take that whole handle assemble out of the door

Okay I cursed at it some more and it cooperated. The parts manual doesn't show me how the spring goes back in. Does anyone know how it goes back in?

i took my out and it was much easier to see and get it apart. use the other door as reference
