Hi i live in England and own a Honda civic coupe 1996/1997 1.6 iLS it has a D16Y7 engine in it, ( 1.6 16v SOHC ) My problem is that i strugle getting parts for it in England and the choice of products is small unless you have a B16 or type R, Could any one tell me what the American equiverlent of my car is. as the car is a Honda of America and you have loads of companys to get stuff from. Also are the AEM V2 induction kits as good as i am lead to belive. :???:

yea the model runs from 1996 to 1998 but the car is regesterd as a 1996 to 97 in the uk we start the number plate with a letter for example P this is regerstration and it is a 96-97 an R reg is 97-98 we dont have Qs as they are reserved for writen of cars that are repaired and such as kit cars that are self built

In my opinion, the AEM V2 is overpriced for what it does. Something like $250. US should net more than the 1 or so horsepower advantage it gives over a generic Short Ram or Cold Air Intake. I paid like $40.00 shipped for a direct copy of the original AEM CAI. The only difference is that mine has a polished finish and no CARB number.

the equivalent of your car in the U.S. would be the LX, DX or HX (not sure which one) but the d16y7 doesnt have VTEC so it def wouldnt be the EX --

Brit Coupe - where abouts in South Yorkshire are you from?
Im in Sheffield along with a few mates with Civics, usually hang around on a local retail park, you should pop down one day if you're near
