What is the stock engine that comes w/ a 02 EM2?

Is it a d17? I'm pretty new to this modding scene. I'm looking to get the most power out of my EM2 to track it yet still keep it as a DD aswell. I want to turbo my car but aren't too sure on where to start on that...

from what i keep hearing, it would be better to supercharge it instead of turbo. it's a little more expensive, but much more durable from what i hear. check out jackson racing. that's what my friend has on his b16a2 crx.

but as to the factory engine, i have no idea. google to the rescue is what i would have to say.
