Hey guys ive got a question ................. what is exactly this part of the exhaust really good for because mine is all broken now and has a little oil on it should i change it for a new one or what?
thats a turbo downpipe. if theres oil in it, that means your turbo is leaking oil. if its only a small amount, thats normal, if theres a lot, then the turbo is failing and needs to be rebuilt.
i live in mexico city and the bumps here are a killing , but i dont know what exactly is it goord for i mean i know its a downpipe but what difference it from another steel tube?
I think he's asking about the flex pipe on it and if he is then the answer is that they let the exhaust bend. When you shift gear and accelerate, the motor shifts. If you have a normal steel pipe then the exhaust won't bent and it pulls on your exhaust manifold which stresses it in different places and can cause it to crack. The flex pipe allows the exhaust to bend and it won't put as much pressure on the mani.
