So I was driving my car today, and the weather is starting to get a little cooler. The civic always performs better when it's a little cooler outside (in contrast to the thick, humid, hot air of summer here in FL). And I was thinking... "Damn, I love this car."

What makes you love your car?

For me, I love the way it sounds, especially under quick acceleration.

I love the stance. Although speed bumps take careful maneuvering to overcome, it's just low enough and looks great imo. I also like how low I am to the ground, as the driver.

I really like the handling. Recently I was driving a car other than mine - a comparable compact model. The body roll was insane, and the car really shifted forward under semi-heavy braking. I've significantly modified my suspension, and I love the - next to no body roll, ability to make tight turns at quicker speeds, and the general "tight" feel of the vehicle.

I was given my car as a present when I turned 16. Yes, I was one of those. I had the option between a mitsubishi eclipse, a hyundai tiburon, a ford mustang, and my little civic. Many people told me I was crazy for picking the civic, but I couldn't be happier to this day. 8 years and probably have another 8 to go.

So what makes you love your car?

The reliability and gas mileage. The sound of my i/h/e, and how dumped I have it. Otherwise I don't care about it.

My car is pretty beat. It's been to hell and back a trillion times. My brother beat on the car more than I did. The wear shows. The paint is horrible, a lot of dents, but that's why I love my car. It has more sentimental meaning to me than anything. I remember when my brother first brought it home from the dealership. We took it out and he let me stand out the moonroof.

And now, I love how it handles, I love how it sounds at WOT, and I love how it looks, regardless of the horrible paint.

It's cheap to maintain, very reliable, and good on gas. I like how it drives compared to my friends cars. It's a good daily driver, but I can honestly say I don't LOVE my car, I like it but I don't love it.

I love my car because it's one of a kind. I built it to my liking, I love the sound, the style, the handling, the attention (but not the cop's attention LOL), and all the crazy experiences I've had with it. It's also my first, and I take a lot of pride into it because I paid for it, not my parents. I modded it with my money. Why do you think most kids with cars given to them by parents usually destroy them? But not all of them are like that, but most of them are. I always get compliments on the streets and even offered money for it. I wouldn't sell it, it means too much to me.

I love my Civic because I've literally apart 99% of the car and put it all back together multiple times. I know the car in and out. I love my Fit for the exact opposite reason, I've never taken anything apart on it, it's new and still perfect.

mpg and its comfy to daily drive. besides the exhaust leak that sounds like a boiling pot of rice it is quiet and simple. not too big but not too small compared to other 2 doors.

no love for the car though. its really a common car and I could replace it in a matter of seconds. that is good to me though cause parts are cheap as a hooker on a slow Tuesday morning. also I KNOW it will start every time.

What makes me love my car? I ponder this quite often.

I love how quaint of a vehicle it is. There's no veneer... just, car. It's raw and honest.

The interior is purely functional... no bells and whistles, no leather and power everything. Yet, the exterior contains these subtle lines that hint at a desire to unleash a sportier side. When I compare my car to other compact economy sedans... none of the competition's stylings come close to looking as appealing, sexy and relevant... even newer models.

I love being low... lowering the center of gravity changes everything about the ride and feel of the vehicle. This car is quite nimble and responsive, or at least it feels that way because of how lightweight she is and no traction control... you get this robust sense of the road beneath the tires. My exhaust isn't loud, but it's there... and even though it's not how I want it to sound, I love hearing it. I just love that the car is so alive... it keeps me awake, and requires my vigilance. The road noise is loud, I smell my exhaust... it's never dull.

I really like the exterior that I've fashioned. Mostly the subtle things that only I notice: Like how I payed extra for lumar's bronze colored tint, to match the paint. The interior is mint... the only way I will have it.

It helps that I love to drive. And that I do it for a living. I get so much enjoyment out of this car.

I love the fact that its mine, not something my parents gave me, the styling is modern yet at the same time sleek, the fact that I can beat the hell out of it again and again and it keeps going, the fact that its so cheap to maintain (i recently got in an accident and it only cost like 300 bucks to fix what would have been at least 600 on any other car) and the fact that with like 5 sockets, a couple of extensions and some pliers I could take the whole car apart lol

I love my car cuz its my first car and because before I got this car I new literally NOTHING about cars. I would have been too scared to change my air filter back in the day. But now I could pull this engine out and change whatever I needed in a matter of hours. It's like your first love, you never forget it haha. Also when I'm in a bad mood taking it almost to 8000rpm in 3rd while gettin on the freeway always cheers me up haha

They're not fast, but they can be! I love how civics look though. And it's such a diverse culture, love it
