boost gauge, oil, oil filter, spark plugsc_diddy said:well, what exactly do you have already for the setup?
lol, that's what i was thinking too but then i started to think that maybe those were just the misc. stuffSqueeker's said:boost gauge, oil, oil filter, spark plugs
taht's all i can see as of his first post, lol.
well then i wasn't teh only 1 thinking that he needed the enitre turbo kit then, lol.c_diddy said:lol, that's what i was thinking too but then i started to think that maybe those were just the misc. stuff... but if that's all that he has, he's got some serious searching and reading to do before he even thinks about turbo charging.
make taht 3 mens opinon.bcivichb said:seeing as how you dont know what you need to go turbo i dont know if you should be doing it yourself, but thats just one mans opinion
haha, I was going to say what bcivichb said in my first post but i didnt want to sound like an assSqueeker's said:make taht 3 mens opinon.
if he has a greddy turbo kit, then he has a turbo manifold, which means he can't use a header!, so he the most basic parts aready.Fast_RPM said:if your running sohc turbo then you'll need to find headers to fit your turbo, it depends on how you want to set up your pipes,u may have to remove your powersteering and maybe your a/c, and maybe more stuff. I don't know much, but i helped my friend put a sohc turbo kit in his z6.
the e-manage won't be bad if he leaves everything else alone and leave teh boost setting at what teh kit comes pre-set to, but if he mess's around with things then that's a different story.sk8shorty017 said:hmm, the one thing I ask, whats your method of tuning? Please please please tell you me arent going to use the e-manage..
the greddy kit is very decent, sure if he gets rid of the e-manage and get someting like the AEM stand alone unit then he'll be much better off, when i had my dohc zc running on 7psi with nothing more then a apex'i safc i was putting down 188hp with the greddy kit, not bad really.sk8shorty017 said:eh...sell the greddy kit haha. For much less money you could get a complete solid setup that would let you have full tuning capabilites and probably kick out more power in the end..
Im not saying its "bad" im just saying for the amount of money that it cost him, he couldve got a COMPLETE setup with every bit of tuning capability and been able to push out more power...Squeeker's said:the greddy kit is very decent, sure if he gets rid of the e-manage and get someting like the AEM stand alone unit then he'll be much better off, when i had my dohc zc running on 7psi with nothing more then a apex'i safc i was putting down 188hp with the greddy kit, not bad really.
