Hey guys so I just got 2 12" KENWOOD KFC-W3011. Each sub has a max power output of 1200W. What power amp do I need to power both of them? Any good amps that you guys recommend? What other components do you recommend to really improve the sound quality? Because although I want to hear that bass i really want to actually hear the lyrics not just the thump. would a vented enclosure or closed be better?

Closed is better in my opinion, but ported is louder. By the way, max power tells us nothing. This is just a number used by companies to promote marketing of their products. Whats truly important is the RMS wattage (the continuous wattage). Tell us this and we can help you better.

Buy from crutchfield, they are the best company around, hands down. Excellent customer service also
That amp is 600W @ 2 ohm. I think he should go for an amp that can do 800W @ 2 ohm. Why waste potential? =)
