ok i got a 2000 civic ex AUTOMATIC-- i purposely bought an auto because noone is gonna be expectin to get their ass beat-- so far the engine mods consists only of a catback and a short ram-- obviously im gonna need headers, wires and all that sort of stuff but I need to know wut major upgrades I can do to my engine without f**king up the tranny and/or motor. i was thinkin a low shot of nitrous or a small turbo--let me know wut u think and give me ur ideas--THANKS!

d00d u r going to need alot of work and money for that engine. i have the same setup and its good to have a auto...well for me. and its header. first build up the motor with better rods, cam, and internals. then u can drop a good turbo and some nitrous. good luck. theres a b16 turbo out but its really not enough bang for the buck but all that will comeout to be a lil pricy. but its your car. or you can always build your own turbo slowly. well goodluck again.
leave the motor as is..dont do s**t to it..because eventually if u go turbo or nos.. u will put more money than u expected to into your motor. if u plan on putting a lot of money into it than, u mine as well get a swap. just my .02

or if you're really attached to the car you could swap tranny's.... but that wouldnt be very financially smart. if you were looking to build a fast - race winning automatic.... then you picked the wrong car unless you plan on spending thousands and thousands.thanks for your input-- i was thinkin swappin an automatic LS tranny then doin nitrous-- i saw a auto integra LS in honda tuning magazine a while back and i liked the way it sounded-- anywayz thanks again for your ideas
it justso happends i have a zex kit for sale. I have it all but the 75 shot jets. im asking 350 shipped. never used. i bought it and thier is no filling places around here. so yeah. and also my gf dont like the idea of it in my car....another good resion to get rid of it

go ahead but when you blow you piston out the side of your engine dont say everyone told you so.
Save yo money man and get a swap. You'll have a better car if you either swap out the tranny too to a manual or trade in for a car that has one.

best thing is to.. take it out and put a b series in it ^^ (dohc vtec)
but.. you could get the SOHC turbo kit, low shot of nitrous, new cam, pulleys, cold air instead of short-ram intake.. 4-1 header, high flow cat, new intake manifold, and that should have you running pretty good.. at least for an sohc motor
