something you put on your bumper, a little pole comes up, so you can see where the tip of your car is, when your trying to pull into a parking space and need to know when to stop....

a better description would be "complete waste of money"

hehe weird. I have no clue but I'm sure the jdm experts on here will be able to tell you. I'm curious now too.

Edit: Interesting Rand0m. Thats funny as hell. I don't think he was interested in buying it, just curious as to what it was

not at all like the feelers. The bumper pole is used in Japan to judge where the front bumper is when parking in tight places. You raise the pole when parking and retract it afterwards all by a button inside your car. There is a light at the top of the pole that can be wired up to light up when turning on the headlights or running lights. Some can consider it a little too much it comes to personal preference. I got one because my car is converting to right hand drive, so i figured be a total jdm :pimp: and complete it wih the pole. It's whatever floats your boat. Very rare however, if you want to be different.

there really isnt a use for one of those in the United States unless you live in a city where theres never and parking and you have to squeeze into the tightest spots

you're one hundred % correct. this is a jdm forum, this isn't a bash forum or a haters site. if you still want to bring it then by all means keep hating. that just means i'm doing something right. to all that show respect much respect back. keep up the good work i just thought i would give info on the cats question in the thread. sorry next time i should bash him. right after all this is a jdm site. :thumbs up

so you're saying they have the same purpose as curb feelers, just for the front of your car instead of the sides.....

i say if you cant park on your own then you shouldnt be driving ;)

:werd: I know where the front of my car is. Right infront of the wheels, and just infront of the headlights, and even closer to the grill. lol

BTW: the past 4 or 5 threads I've been on here have :bitching: stamped all over 'em =)

thats becuase you live in an area where parking is not THAT bad... move somewhere, where parking is such a problem its hard to even have a car... im not saying id get it.. but s**t, it obviously makes sense where it was intended to be used... and honestly.. i kind of like the idea (if i had a need for it..)

edit please knock of the BS.. he didnt ask anyones opinion (although i read abotu 8 posts giving it).. he simply asked WHAT it was.. not if you liked it.. or if you thought it was gay..

the part was developed for cars in an area where parking is so tight that power folding mirrors are even needed. not that you'd need it here, but it def earns plenty of jdm points.

its pretty much what those expensive as hell Benz has on the rear trunk if you look. there are 2 chrome rings and when it goes into reverse they slide up. they are located at the end of the car right next to the trunk. I forget which benz it was. if i saw it i would know

melt, jdm does not mean straight off the lot in japan. it is using any part that was manufactured in japan. your are a tool.
jspec on the other hand is japanese spec, and would mean the specs of the motor or the car off the lot.
a jspec b18c itr engine
a set of spoon sports sw388's=jdm
you are stoopid, stay out of jdm with your accord...
