I have a 95 dx 2dr. and I don't know what motor to put in it or to keep it. It comes with a D15B7. I been told many different things. I have been told to boost it cause it has low compression ratio but I'm not sure. I'm thinking about putting a LS motor. I’ve also have hard that turbo burns V-tec.

I'm in the same pool as you man, 94 DX. I'd say swap it. D series motors are no good, im my opinion at least. I'm doing a b16a2 or b16b swap over the summer, just because I'm opting for a strong B-Series that's easy to swap and highly upgradeable, but not TOO much of a b***h on my wallet (b18c5).

I hate to be mean to anyone boosting a D series, but I have yet to see a good one. There's a local guy with a 4th gen Si boosted, and my stock SOHC non-VTEC can keep up with him.

And yeah, I am not the smartest person in the world, but I know that LS non-VTEC motors are better with boost. People have told me that you can in the end get more power for less money out of them, because the VTEC motors are harder to tune turbocharged.

Your car, your decision. I'm 16 and poor, working my ass off for a straight up b16 swap. It'll be quick, not obscenely fast, but in the future I can do more.

well, dump the engine, i got the same car, and intake and exhaust and upgraded fuel system isnt enough. ya gotta just swap it out. have no fear though, if ya wanna screw around with bolt ons, everything is transferable to a b16 and most to the b18's

Yeah, might as well save for the swap though. I'm not even touching my d15. The exhaust is the only thing I've worked on for look and sound... and it'll get changed a BIT when my b16 is in.

I don't get the point in people wasting 100+ $ on cold air intakes when they don't help ALL THAT MUCH, and you can pretty much make one with parts from Home Depot for WAY less. If I DID do that just to get rid of the big ugly stock intake, I'd buy a cone filter and like $8 worth of rubber corners, camps and pipe and make it myself.
