Check for any shaft play and check all the impeller blades for any damage.

Check for any oil in the compressor side. You never know if he blew the seals or not. You should also check on the exhaust side, but this is a little easier for him to have cleaned up.

it will not bolt on the b series motors. you will need a new mani and downpipe (dp im pretty sure of). if swap is in your immediate future, i wouldnt by it. Unless you plan to turbo that swapped motor. id take it, only for the intercooler, bov, charge pipes, and injectors. that turbo is gonna act way different on the b series.

the 14b/19b will spool REAL quick on a b-series.. and will cap out in efficiency REAL quick also.

LS, because of the low compression. Its easier for people to buy a low compression motor than buy a high revving high comp. motor and swap pistons and other misc. internals

You buy an LS for low compression, but the stock sleeves can barley handle 10psi, maybe 12 at the max. Stock internals can't handle it either. You buy a GSR, and it's the exact same deal. As long as you tune it properly you will have NO problems and you'll make more power. GSR is a better turbo motor in my opinion because it forces you to tune it better. LS just allowes you to get careless.

the same deal goes for a Type R motor, but most people aren't willing to fork over that much cash and spend a great deal of time tuning. But I've seen the best results from tuned TypeR-T's.

And that makes sense. The amount of power you can make with a turbo is effected by how much power you can make N/A. LS makes 140hp n/a, where as the GSR is 180 (or whatever it is) so the same turbo on both motors will make more power on the GSR, and of course even more on the Type R.

yes the gsr can give better results and the ls can get u to ease of the wallet alittle.lol Because to calculate hps with a turbo is just undefined because of the various turbo combinations now-a-days ya know. either of the 2 can be faster than the other if tuned correctly.
