What would cause vtec to stall at high rev???

I have a 2000 model vtec b16a6 and its was performing well... Recently its reving up well after vyec kick in its starting to stall at about 5000 - 5500 rpm rteving down slow after causing not enough output... I got branch and performance and induction kit... What would cause my prob any1 can help??? I want to beat them 20v's again and since this prob occured im sitting on 20v back door and not happy :( help me out guyys please

Are you saying the car jolts forward and loses power after VTEC engagement and the rev's go up a lot slower?

And what is a "branch and performance and induction kit"?

Yes the car revs up slower than usaul after those revs... Car dsnt fall foward but just sits and drag... Exhaust upgrade and air intake upgrade....

Speaking from my past experience, something similar happened to me and it ended up being my distributor cap and rotor. Inside the cap was all that white crap you see around battery terminals. Might be worth it to take a quick peek?

what would cause it to lean out??? because the car use to perform very well... to be honest i had an e36 M3 3.2 6speed and this little rocket suprised me... i enjoy my car dont drive it hard all the time... but i use to sit on very fast cars and go pass as iff they where in reverse... but recently i cant even get 220 with ease i got to push the car... help me gues because i dont wana let them 20v descrace our vtecs... they think they fast but we got pure power not putting after market ecu n etc to be fast...
