whats the 96-98 vti-r hatch closest to?

just wondering if anyone could tell me what ek the vti-r hatches are/closest to... they supposedly run b16a engines. also could anyone tell me what price range i should be looking at when i go shopping

hmm, yes, I think the vti-r is a b16a. I know the vti is a d15b because that's what I'm getting.

96 VTi-R has a B16A2, The 96 VTi Coupe has a D16Y8, and the others have D16's. D15's are in the EG models

The VTI-R hatch is closest to a JDM EK4 SiR except that it only 160bhp instead of the JDM 170ps. 14 to 16K should get you a good one.

I think there are not much good VTI-R found from the Australia market now, and the price is still around 17k-20k for 2nd hand one......ask " SETANTA" said the power is different from the japan EK4, and the engine code usually have 1 or 2 behind ....e.g. B16A1 or B16A2, pure jdm ek4 is B16A, and the different only have 10ps more for JDM one
