I think the real answer to your question, is another question.

Why are you tuning the car with crome, and then on top of that manipulating the values with a SAFC or a VAFC.

You should only tune the car with crome, and that is it. I wouldn't make it over complicated by using a VAFC on top of that setup.

So the answer is, take it to a tuner.. let him tune the car on crome... and ditch the vafc idea.

And BTW the answer to the question anyway is you would need the VAFC.. you have vtec.

Actually, running a chipped ecu and afc is a heck of an idea, which is what I'm doing. Your chipped ecu will only allow what is programmed into it, when the afc will allow you to tune on the fly, if you need.

V-AFC is the same as a S-AFC but with the V you can change the vtec engagement.

I actually am going to disagree with this. It is just one more thing altering map signals and other vital engine functions. There isn't a need to have an AFC on any car that has a better way of management.

agreed no reason to have a Vafc hack or afc hack its just bad for your car regardless. chrome pro all teh way. 6 months boosted no problems beating the piss out my car. going for 12 psi soon too
