Wheel fitment?

I started off with 16x6.5 rota slips when I bought the car but had 55 profile tires so I couldn't get too low. I switched to 15x6.5 gt3 with 55 tires and got to the perfect height where when the wheels were turned they just barely cleared the fenders. I cracked a gt3 so I am buying a new set. I was looking at 16x7 rota grids 40 offset and going to go with 40 profile tires. Will I be able to tuck these at all in the fender? I want 16 because 15 just look too small in my opinion but I don't want to have to do a ton of pulling and rolling just to get them to squeeze in. Thanks for the help!

Im running the exact specs with a 205/45/16. If you go really low the front will barely rub at full lock. The rear will barely clear with no work and just the natural negative camber from the drop. It depends on brand of tire also. Mine run a little wide.

In summary, you'll be fine and your tire choice is good.

Like Rabbit said, it partially depends on the tire. Some tires are manufactured differently and may rub while others do not. 205/45 will keep your speedo as accurate as possible (and looks the best IMO) but a 40 series may give you a little more room.

I currently have 16x7 (+42-45, can't remember) with 205/45 Yokohama S. Drives and my rears barely clear while my fronts do not rub at all whatsoever unless I take a corner very sharp and fast. I tried on some 16x7 +42 Rota Circuit 8's with 205/45 Falken's and my rears rubbed on every slight bump.

Thanks for the info guys! I was also considering doing a bit of tire stretch for a little extra room. I want to be able to tuck with as little camber as possible. This is where my car sat running 15x6.5 rota GT3 with 185/55R15 Kumho ecsta tires and I liked the height a lot. When sitting still and the wheel turned all the way I has maybe a 1/16 of an inch gap between tire and fender which is perfect for me
