well im all ready to put my turbo kit on im just lacking one part, a 3bolt downpipe that will fit on my car (98 ex). anyone know where i can find a downpipe?? thanks
so if i got a sr20 downpipe with a 3'' 3 bolt it wouldnt run under the motor??89slohatch said:it would bolt to the turbo, but it wouldn't run under the engine & connect to your exhaust. buy a turbo outlet flange and go to a muffler shop and have them bend you one. if you insist on having a mandrel bent one, buy the necessary mandrel mends and a flange, and have a muffler shop weld it up.
thx. but they only got 4 and 5 bolt flanges.io_303 said:
look at the prices for downpipes. id use them to make a downpipe but i cant see 250 dollars in a piece of mandrel bent piping.io_303 said:they can make others, shoot thme an email, my friend got one for his TDO5h using an HF and an adapter plate
so anf my best bet is getin a downpipe made?? i think finding a flange or even having one made from the downpipe elbow is gonna be a pain in the ass..anfrey said:dude, put the flange off and have your local muffler shop fab the downpipe for you. it's the easiest, least time consuming, and possibly most economical solution. i'd rather do this than attempt to scour for parts that aren't even for our cars.
its worth it, its 3" mandrel bent to the stock exhaust location. Its good quality work.civicracing98 said:look at the prices for downpipes. id use them to make a downpipe but i cant see 250 dollars in a piece of mandrel bent piping.
it's the least troublesome, imho. granted there are 4 or 5 exhaust shops in my neighborhood alone, i know any of them could have a pipe bent and welded in a matter of minutes.civicracing98 said:so anf my best bet is getin a downpipe made?? i think finding a flange or even having one made from the downpipe elbow is gonna be a pain in the ass..
