I dont know where to stick my air filter on my set up. So I came to you peeps thinking maybe you have some options?

You can see the blue thing, thats the intake on the turbo. What im worried about is that i have the clutch line there and i also have the fan. Maybe i can route a pipe somewhere? what do you peeps think?

search google for s bend pipes or s bend intercooler piping, something with "s bend" in it. as far as i've seen thats the most popular option for passenger facing compressors. you could also just put a filter right on the compressor, like i did, and it wont melt or anything. you might suck in hotter air then you would if you got an s bend but i saw it as the best option for my driver facing compressor.

i was wanting to just stick the airfilter on the compresser but it would hit the fan.

I think mine is pretty similar to yours. its just a a soft coupler and a nice little bend that i got a shop to weld up for me and an auto zone filter.

just screen it
.
have fun with water splashing up in there, or lots of dust.

yeah a screen is good for track use, atleast put a AF over top of the screen.
ill be making a whole custom air box for my turbo air filter

do you have a cold air intake? Or even a short ram? I'm using my buddys one section of his 5th gens cai. Fits like a champ. not sure if it was the top section or the bottom. I want to say it was the bottom.

I bought another fan at autozone and stuck it on the other side of my radiator ;) it was only like $20 or $30 bucks too

I had the same problem man. What I did was use the top part of my stock intake, threw a filter on the end, and it works perfect! Maybe you want to consider this, your setup looks good man.:thumbs up

you can buy universal plastic bendable intake piping at autozone for pretty cheap, i think it comes in 3" like all the other intake stuff there. Maybe just use that and put a filter on the end?
