I am debating on which plug wires to buy for my 96 D16 and I was wanting to get your opinion on which to get. Please give me any feedback that you can and prices and advantages of those wires if possible. I really appreciate it.

are you asking b/c u want to upgrade, or cuz u just want new ones? OEM wires are more than good enough.

im using magnacor 10mm wires, i got it for $50. on a light moded car, oem is just fine. buying expensive or any other wires will get you no hp gains so your better off staying with oem because they will last longer. but if you want a really good spark plug wires, get some nology. they run for $150.

So if I wanted to upgrade to like moroso it wouldn't be worth the trouble? The reason that I am doing this is because I need new wires anyway. Is there anything that I need to stay away from? Thanks James

P.S. What about cap and rotor. What are your views on those. As in which should I use and all.

I will agree with the OEM wires...I just fried some wires because the idiot before me put in some shity plugs, and I asked around, and everyone said your better with the OEM...plus they got put back on my warranty and I didn't have to pay for them!

If you're looking for quality, any good brand will do. Either OEM or NGK or whatever. If you're looking for performance, then keep looking because different wires wont do d**k for extra power, its a big myth

for cap and rotor, i would still stick with OEM. honda ingnition systems have been known for being excellent. i beleive there was a big argument/writeup about this a few months ago... if you are really interested, take a look for it.

Definitely go OEM. When I bought my civic the guy had put on some fancy wires, after about 6 months the engine started missin out and backfiring randomly. I took it to a mechaninc and the first thing he did was tear those after market wires off and it ran like a dream on his OEM's.

-still he charged me $90 for his diagnostic... :letout:

Maybe those wires were bad?

Tell you the same thing that I have had 3 honda people tell me.. Oem plugs will get you 200k miles. I had to replace the aftermarket wires someone stuck in the new ex I got.

I've got ngk's and haven't had a problem, have always run them in my civic's and my old prelude. If you have to get new one's i would say check out the prices. On our car's, i don't think there would be much of a diffence unless you redo the whole ignition system.
