Which Turbo ?

This is to all you Turbo car people. I am looking to make around 250- 300 hp on a B16, which Turbo is ideal to get that will make power early and till redline. Im looking to improve the torque as well as Hp and this is going to be my daily driver

Im going with the 18g. Nice little turbo, or you could go with what my buddy keeps calling the "Potatoe Disco" some turbo charger with an over sized compressor housing. I never heard of it until 2 weekends ago

oops nevermind i was confused with your post. the potatoe disco thing you were referring to is also known as a hybrid turbo. eg t3/t4 have a t4 compressor housing on a t3 exhaust housing. its done to get the pros of a fast spooling t3 and combine it with the pros of the power of a t4 (or maybe its the other way around, i dont remember) and your 18g will still spool rather quickly, its still a small turbo.

This sounds like exactly what you need, its the potato disco. After reading over it, its a pretty bad ass little turbo

i suggest the t3/t4 .48/.50 50 trim. it will have fast spool, and a very broad powerband. 250-300 is dead center in its efficiency range

its actually called the "disco potato" and its a GT2835r or GT2860r

and actually spools quite quickly.
they use it most notably as a replacement turbo for an sr20.

Look into precision turbos. They use garrett internals whitch are awesome and there all around nice turbos. Prices arent bad either. Just an idea.
