whitch engine should i choose

hey everyone. i got a 1.6l sohc vtec with a dx block. i just figured this out. i want to do a engine swap but i dont know witch engine i want. mainly i want a engine that is quick that i might turbo in a few years. please give some choices

B18c1 (gsr engine) or B18c5 (type r engine)...they will be quick even without a turbo, then when you are ready to trubo it will be even faster...I would go with the b18c5 though

look at it this way... go with a b-series if you want anything fast with a reasonable amount of torque without going turbo. the b18's have a good amount of torque stock, so i'd recommend the a1 for a cheap swap... otherwise go with the c1 or the c5 for a more expensive fast-ass ride. if you're willing to put a little work into it, get a b20 and get a new tranny, intake manifold and some other minor parts, and you'll have a good motor with a boatload of torque and great potential for a turbo'd civic.

if your looking to turbo in the future go with either the b16a2 or hit up the b18c1, b18c5 IMO in better if you want to stay witht the NA setup compression to high for turbo

i got a b16a2 fully built its great but i think im gonna get a ls vtec and turbo it

do your research, theres SOOO much information about these engines.

IMO i would go wit b18c1 good torque and ready for turbo anytime ur ready
