Why the Altezza backlash?

Sorry, dumb question, but I don't know.

Why is there such a backlash against altezza tail lights? They don't seem to be any uglier or ricier than all the other aftermarket stuff people put on. I'd never put them on my car, but I'm running stockies for the sleeper effect anyways.

When altezzas came out they were kind of low key and directed more towards imports. Then they decided to start making them for all the suvs, trucks pretty much anything that has four wheels. They also potrayed the street racer image for a while and every wannabe racer went out and bought them thinking there car was faster because of tailights. I say if you like them then thats up to you, I have nothing against anyone who puts them on there car. There just taillights, just for the record my car does not have altezzas though

I am a proud owner of tezzas.......lol I am secure with my tezzahood. I put it this was I got bashed on here when I posted pics of my car but was it really that bad???........dont answer that

I have tezzas to they were on there when i bought my car. I just have not had the money to change them. The only reason I want to change them is because I personally like the stock look better. I dont have anything agianst people who have them either. Atleast untill I get rid of mine, j/k.

I also dont like how just anyone can get them for any type of either.... Looks gay on these stupid dropped trucks driving around.

I know what you mean vicster!!! When they first came out it was only for imports then they started making it for all types of cars so i took mine off!! And now i only put jdm parts on my car cause you know no domestic will have the same thing as you!!

i have some tezzas but im getttin the red/clear ones just cuz i like them a lot better than mine + everyone has them

Hi I'm JayVee and I'm an Altezzaholic j/k. I liked how they looked myself that's why I got them , mine are black chrome and i liked how they looked on my ride. I guess I understand more myself know why a lot of people knock the tezzas, I really didn't understand either. till know

altezzas look cool on certain colored cars ... if a car looks good with em then im not gonna hate.

and how often do altezzas look good? IMO not much at all.

I hate em, I had them but I took them off within a week. I just recenlty put them back on because I painted them to look like 99-00 tails now they're mucho sexy.

altezzas look good on a Toyota Altezza, but hey, thats just my opinion....if someone thinks they look good and wanna waste their money on that instead of something that they can benefit from, more power to 'em

altezza lights should stay on the ALTEZZA!!! just like r33 bumpers and what not. you just spent about 200 dollars on tailights.....how does that make you feel when you could of spent that 200 dollars and gotten yourself a p&p job....way to go.

ok im kinda 2 sided here.... for people that are married.... its a whole different story... My wife will not let me engine swap, turbo or anything.... the only thing ive got the ok for is... i/h/e, rims, hood, and tezzas, tint, and head projectors (basic ricer s**t).... some tezzas i like but im going the 99 - 00 tail lights... but because someone has a spoiler or tezzas or a body kit dont mean they are ricers trying to go fast sometimes their other halfs only allow so much engine mods before they ask for a divorce so they have to resort to other mods.... thats just my $0.02 and she wont let me engine swap and turbo until my warrantee is up and fook thats another 2 and a half years... but like me instead of blowing my cash on stupid s**t ima save up this whole time so ill have the money to do the swap and turbo

s**t, i like the look of certain tezzas, not a fan of the chromed out ones on a civic, but check em on a ford lightning or something like that, they look hot, specially on red ones. my car, i got the carbon fiber taillights only because i'm going for the all around carbon fiber detailing, taillights, hood, lip, side mirrors, and some of the interior. no s**t its not going to make my car faster, i really don't think anyone was thinking that when they bought them, come on now. i would never pay $200 for them joints though, fook that, got mine off eBay for $60. rock em if you want, its your ride, look at it this way...everyone wanted to be different, so they got the tezzas and wings and s**t, now the tide has shifted, the way to look different is to go stock and have a sleeper or jdm ya ride out. few years down the road, we'll have too many stock and jdm type cars, so back to the taillights and wings and s**t. a vicious cycle, we must kill it....

i agree with melt, tezzas dont look great on every car. depends on the kind of tezzas and if it goes with the color of the car or not, tezzas arent too bad, just not a favorite because like someone said, they started making them for every car and it got played out quick.

i dont want to floss anyone's grille, but what's uglier than a stock green Neon with 14" chrome hub caps and altezza freakin tails?! i wont put any body work on my car that you can find on any domestic POS! (this applies to all those people that put APC windshield banners and body decals all over their cars too) Im sticken to jdm; MUGEN POWER!

Mine were $50. The beauty of ebay. I think they look better than the 97 stock ex lights but just MO. After all I'm a nOOb i guess that means I'm a ricer
