Alright so a couple questions. So I have the si cluster (99-00). And its supposed to light up amber stock, but when I got it, it looked more white to me, so I painted the bulbs. At the same time, theres a "visor" or the black piece (part of the cluster) that has two lil slits on the top and they were tinted blue. I used some cleaner and took the blue off, but im still not satisfied with the lighting (i dont think it is how its supposed to look stock). So, just want to make sure that I only need 4 of #6 and 1 of #8 in the pic as I plan to replace them all.

lol i just went through all this with eran... for the gauge cluster you need:

1 194
4 24's

Theres also a website i have that sells amber halogen bulbs, i just ordered some last night. Next time i see eran online ill see if i can get the link again (forgot the site name) and link ya to it.

for the climate control you'll need
2 74's (if its 96-98)

I didn't think the Si cluster had the blue lights up top. Can someone confirm?

okay well I figured out the bulb issue, but I can without a doubt remember the strip at the top being blue / having some color and having to erase it to have an semi-amber cluster that I have now. So I think im just going to get the OEM strip (since the cluster is supposively amber from the factory), but whats the part # from the pics? Its tough to tell. Ill check at work too.

That's the same thing we had to do to my EX cluster and Scott's DX cluster. I didn't think the Si cluster was the same at all.

me either, I found it extremely wierd that an "amber" cluster would have a blue tinted strip across the top. According to Eran though, if you want a better lighting cluster (color wise), remove those top two bulbs as I guess they spread light (instead of putting effesis on one area). Either way, I ordered a new strip from the si, so well see what it looks like. I also ordered new bulbs for that top area and im going to try it both ways (with the bulbs on and with them out)

okay, so I got the numbers / etc. to light up amber, but the needles are dark. I have the two top bulbs removed (which is probably the reason), but I really like the way the cluster looks now. Anyway to change the lighting of the needles without putting the 2 top bulbs back in?
