Will a 96-98 Keyless Entry work on a 92-95 Civic?

Did a search and didn't come up with this answer.

I have a 98 Civic Radio with the Keyless Entry built in.

I want to connect it to a 95 Civic EX (Has power door locks). If I splice the existing 95 civic's aftermarket radio and the 98 civic radio, will this give the 95 Civic keyless entry now?

I haven't tried this (i have both cars), but hoping to see if anyone knew before I spend a couple hours on the install. Thanks,

Thanks for the response, do you have more details (i.e. did you try it?). I would like to know, please share your experiences. Thanks.

the keyless entry on ALL honda models run through the BCM and swaping the radio doesnt change what the computer see's. you have to tap into the power door lock actuator witch is controled by the BCM and ECU so when you hit your unlock button it tells your computer to unlock your doors. Radio's dont have that kind of memory

the only way to give your car keyless entry is by a keyless entry system, for example the one i use at my shop is a DEI piece part # "pro9845B" wire it up and your good to go as long as you have power door locks
