will a flip out fit in the extra din?

I was wondering if anyone has placed a flip out dvd player in the din behind the cup holder on a 6th gen, i wasnt sure if it will fit or not with the rest of the console being above it. the one i will be putting in is a pioneer avh-6600dvd with a 6.5 in screen so im hoping it will fit down there for the stealth effect

should fit but not a good idea imho, just do it on the dash but make it so the pocket is on top

nvm i see what you are talking about, ill be more specific, for the 96-98, i dont have the cool 99-00 climate control, thats why i wanted to put it below cause it will block my airvents as well

which pocket on top?

on the dash kit you get, it will have a pocket that should go on the bottom just flp the kit over like pictured and wala, wont go any further than your vents

well i shouldnt be watchin it while driving anyways haha, but i figure for anyone sitting in the passenger seat or anything it shouldnt be much of a hassle to look down and i thought it would cut down on the glare too given that its almost always shaded down there, oh well, i can always take some measure ments and see, but my plans were to put the stock headunit back in its place nad then place the flip out down below so that when the cupholder is up it just looks as if i have a stock sound system in the car hopefully detering the theives slightly

I dunno if it would fit, you'd have to do measurements. But I dont think it would be a good idea because I know personally when I had my cd player down there, the back of the cupholders would constantly hit the face of my cd player and Im pretty sure you dont want it hitting your screen. Plus I have a girlfriend who likes to spill things so if you know anyone like that, you might want to take that into account as well..
