Will i get a ticket...

If i put on a European Licence Plate on the front of my car and have my real plate on the front window... I was told what i want to do is against the law, but wouldnt they just give me warnings if i say"oh i thought i could put my real plate inside on the window and that would be ok"

Have any of you guys goten a ticket for no front plate?
And if i get a ticket is it a "moving violation"

My friend is from New Jersey but goes to school here and had no plate on is car since his plate was home. So we jacked the front plate off my friends car (NY plate) and threw it on the front of his car. Going to see how long that lasts.

you live in illinois. you are required to mount an illinois plate on your front bumper.

here in indiana we only have rear plates, so we can put whatever the hell we want up front, as long as we're not impersonating an emergency vehicle or putting another vehicle's legit plate on there. older plate designs are allowed, though. i used to have an australian front plate (northern territories outback) on my EJ6...

but you're in illinois, so you're SOL on that.

Naperthrill Police will definitely give you a ticket, and honestly, depending on the day of the week, I could see them trying to impound your vehicle.

Damn dude i duno... to tell u the truth Naperville cops arent that bad... they let me walk away when they caught me driving without a licence... they didnt impound the car, or give me a ticket, or naything, all they did was take my permit and made my dad come pick it up at the pig station... but thats cuz they didnt wnat to ruin my life... but for some stupid plate yah i guess ur right they would give me a ticket... yah im just going to keep the plate in my room haha

You guys suck for being allowed to have 1 plate.

I remember this past summer, I went to wax behind my rear license plate, so I went to remove the bolts, and the f**kers snapped on me. So I put the plate in the rear window and I got warned for it. NYS sucks. You need both.
