willem enahnced and SST 27sf512

need some help wiht these chips...(SST27SF512)

i have a WELLIM enahnced burner (NOT DUAL POWER), and i cant figure out how to erase adn burn these chips, i emailed Craig Moates and he dosent even know.

where should the little yellow jumpers go?

every write up ive seen so far, is for teh dual power.

can any one help? i usualy use the Amtel chips.

I, personally, use a PocketProgrammer2, so I don't know much about the Willem.. I know with the SF512s in my Civic, I have to start at $8000 and send FFs to the chip, then I can burn my maps..

I'll do a little digging in some of my notes (I have a little info on the Willem) and see what I can come up with..

I, too, usually use Amtel 29c256's, as they are a blow-n-go style

have you tried burning FF to the tables?

Also, some chips won't blank, due to the USB not providing enough power.. I don't have a Willem (as stated before), and my PP2 uses external power source. It rips right through the process with the SST 27SF512s, as do the 29C256s..

get a moates burner from xenocrons site. it will take less than a week to get it and i have had no problems with it unlike my willem burner that i cant even burn or erase any kind of chip.

i can burn and erase the older amtel chips AT29C256 just fine.

so i finally go tthem to work, just wired all i did was do it like almost normal and they erased and burned fine, but i ordered the Atmel chips still.

must have been that penny on heads up today i picked up lol

i dont know why it just started working. but it did so what ever
