I bought a 2000 ek hatch dx manual windows and my driver side is a pain to roll up and down, its very hard and not smooth and effortless like my passenger. anyone know what I need to do to fix this? Thanks
Silicone lubricant hasn't affected my tint in anyway, and I've done several treatments.is that going to mess up my window tint, they are both sides that physically touch the glass right?
I have never noticed any oily residue, so it doesn't seem to be messy. Yes, roll the window all the way down and spray some lubricant into each rubber side channel at the top and let it drip down by gravity. Then roll the window up and down several times to spread the lubricant along the entire length of the channel. The window should go up and down more easily almost immediately.does it get all over your window , do i just roll it down and apply it on both sides
If that doesn't work, get new window tracks, and new window regulators...and it will be fixed...I have never noticed any oily residue, so it doesn't seem to be messy. Easy fix. Spray some silicone lubricant into both rubber side channels where the edges of the window glass slides.
