Window regulators not working

Does anyone know much about window regulators? I just replaced mine.(manual not power) I went to a local wrecker and they had some I made sure to test them while they were still on the parts car and they went all the way up and down. Now after I installed both sides they work except now the windows stop about 2 inches from the top of the door. I don't know much about window stuff and I can't figure it out so any help would be appreciated thanks guys.

Make sure the front and rear edges of the glass are properly inserted into the rubber channels.

I believe they are I could be wrong so I'll make sure tomorrow but it feels like they are hitting something because Even with force they won't go up any farther than in the pictures
