window switches

i know its been asked before. my passenger window doesnt go up or down with the switches. it will if i run a hot wire. how do i check to see its one or both of the switches.which is the hot wire to the switches on the drivers door. its a 95 ex coupe. thanks

1. is the lock out in the "on" position on your drivers side switch?
2. just use a wire tester to find what is positive
