winter mode

so heres the basic winter mode...oldschool teg wheels w/ some all season tires

didnt really like it, so i went to thinking...lets paint em

sanding sucks

rust proof something or other primer coat after sanding

lots of hard work will pay off my friend, i assure you. Malboro cigarette is waiting for you!

1 done, look at the difference!

And this morning after 3 coats drying, we are finally done after getting high off paint fumes and sanded wheel finish.

and theres my new winter wheels. let me know what yall think. ugly? let me know. sweet? let me know

i would have painted them something other than black...because usally black wheels in the winter time remind me of steelies but...they do look decent on your car because of the black and silver theme that you have going on. nice job with sanding and painting. I gotta go into winter mode pretty soon as well. i'm thinking about clearing the amber from my stockies, and putting in the stock tails. but yeah bro, nice job!

first of all, they're f**king winter wheels? i got them for 100 bucks wheels and brand new all season tires. i use them for 3 months out of the year... do i REALLY care if they look like stealies? no...they look better than they did, thats all i care about.

they look good to me, maybe gunmetal would have been better, but black goes well with your theme

well personally i hate the color they had before. i dont really like the style anyways, so i covered em up in a darker color to give it a better stance...plus i like black wheels so it works...and thanks, i think it goes good with my black/silver theme too. i would go with another color, but something dark is my taste. i was gonna try white...but dunno if that would look good

and yeah, they're not supposed to look pretty. no one can pass up a deal like 100$ for a pair of good condish wheels with brand f**king new all season tires. if it were stealies with those tires, i woulda bought em. they just happen to be the teg wheels and i like black wheels, so i changed em lol

I know they're supposed to be able to get messed up and curbed and such.. basically something to save your nicer wheels from the weather and all... but there's no reason you can't make them look better. Hell, that's why he painted them... because he thought it made them look better.

thanks for the comments. yeah their a bit inflated, i just bought them, and the previous owner said the last time h had them on his car was a year ago...so they were pretty dull n what not.

and if you think they look like 'spares' or 'steelies' i guess thats your perspective. these are my winter wheels, i dont care what they look like, i like them, and i guess thats where its staying.
