In my 97 EX (D16Y8), the wipers do not work on intermittent nor on the first speed, but it does on the second (high) speed....but is quirky at that, too.
If I pull up for immediate one time wiping, the wipers will stop wherever once I release that lever. Same as when I run it on full speed setting (since low speed does not work), I have to time turning the lever off or it will stop wherever I do turn that lever off.
Is this a bad wiper motor? Relay? If motor, where is it located and how can it be accessed. My sons old 96 Chev1500 had a bad wiper motor and took 10 minutes to change (right under hood at firewall....
Please don't tell me its a task similiar to replacing a pcv valve; tedious for a seemingly normal maintenance item
